How long does processing take?
Usually minutes β not seconds, not hours. It depends on document length and pipeline complexity. Failed requests are not billed.
Can it handle thousands of documents a day?
Yes, in bulk through the API. Enterprise customers expecting large volumes can discuss capacity scaling with their Upstage representative.
Which document languages are supported?
The Parse language setting supports Auto, English, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese.
How do I work on this with my team?
Use Share by link to circulate results (no login required). For organization-wide rollout and access management, including SSO, talk to your Upstage representative.
Parse, Classify, and Instruct handle up to 1,000 pages per file. Extract's Enhanced mode is limited to 50 pages per file β for longer documents, switch the mode to Standard (up to 1,000 pages).
Why does a file within the page limit still fail?
Besides page count, the amount of content matters β documents dense with text or complex structure can hit the content (token) limit first. Split the file or reduce pages and retry.
How many files can I run at once?
There is no fixed per-run file cap β run as many of your uploaded files as you need. Before a large run, check the estimated cost shown in the pre-run billing notice.
Is there a time limit for runs?
A run that stays in progress for more than 1 hour is automatically marked as failed. Failed runs are not billed.
Studio is an organization-level subscription. Paid plans are billed monthly per seat and grant a usage quota shared across the organization. The Free plan includes a daily-refilled quota with every feature available. See Accounts and pricing for details.
Can I try it for free first?
The Free plan refills daily, so you can keep using it. Paid plans come with a 7-day free trial, offered once per organization. Starting a trial requires a registered payment method, and the first charge is made when the trial ends, on the plan you selected.
How are credit and subscription different?
A subscription gives your organization a usage quota each billing period based on seat count. Credit is a separate balance used when you go past that quota.
What happens when I use up the quota?
Runs stop. Credit overage is off by default, so turn it on under Settings β Usage in Studio to keep running from your organization credit, and turn on Auto reload to buy credits automatically when your balance drops below your threshold. Only an Organization Owner can change these settings. The Free plan does not support overage, so it waits for the next refill (When the quota runs out).
What happens if I upgrade a plan or add seats mid-cycle?
The change applies immediately and a new 30-day period starts. You pay the full price of the new configuration minus the settled value of the current one, and the new configuration's quota is granted with usage reset to zero. Check the exact Due now amount in Studio before you confirm (Managing seats).
Will I be charged if a job fails during a run?
No β jobs that fail during a run are not charged.
